Good boy,wolfie

I'm a witch. I waited fifty years for a dog. The forest sent me a wounded wolf instead. I named him Cookie. Taught him to fetch. He let me scratch his ears. But he heals too fast. Hunts too well. And sometimes, at the edge of the trees, I hear laughter that isn't human. I wanted a pet. I found a secret.
