The Curse He Couldn't Break

My stepmother sold me to a stranger. He broke my door down with an axe. Then Prince Helios broke it too—and handed me a bargain.Marry him.Every third night, give him my blood.Seven nights, five hundred gold coins, and my life.I signed.I hated him. Then I wrote his name on every clay shard in the palace, and on the final night, he couldn't push the dagger in.Now the moon is rising. The only way out?A love neither of us dared confess.
